It’s 1943 and so far, the inhabitants of the "Isle of Todday" have escaped the worst of wartime rationing, but when the supply of whisky runs out, despondency descends until the good ship SS Cabinet Minister runs aground on a foggy night.
Fortunately, the cargo includes 50,000 barrels of whisky and a battle of wits ensues as the islanders try to outwit customs officials by hiding their salvage in a variety of ingenious places.
A perfect way to celebrate Burns Night!
Screening as part of CineMisfits, a film festival curated and delivered by DMU students.
