Presented by 2Funky Arts. Join us from 6pm in our Café Bar for an ambient DJ set before the film.

A fascinating history of England’s independent record stores that specialised in Black music, with stories told by those who managed, worked and shopped in them.

Female perspectives include bold tastemakers such as Marcia Carr (Girlz B Like), Claudia Wilson (Pure Vinyl) and DJ Rap (Propa Talent). Also featuring Trevor Nelson, and a host of other pioneers of street sounds.

Production by Simon ‘Schooly’ Phillips & Winstan Whitter, managed by 2Funky Arts, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Screening as part of Black History Month.
