★★★★ – Eye for Film

Based on the bestselling memoir by Tom Michell, Peter Cattaneo’s (The Full Monty) warm, witty comedy drama stars Steve Coogan as Tom, who moved to Buenos Aires in 1976 for a teaching job.

When his school closes during a military coup Tom travels to Uruguay, where he rescues a penguin from an oil spill. Sneaking the bird back to Argentina, a strange and beautiful friendship begins that sees the penguin become an unwitting agent of change.
