"★★★★★ – An amazing and dramatic historical tableau" – Guardian

★★★★ – The Times

Daniela Volker's astonishing documentary follows Hans Jürgen Höss - the son of Rudolf Höss the Camp Commandant of Auschwitz - as he confronts his father's involvement in the murder of over a million Jews during the Holocaust.

A companion piece to the Academy award-winning The Zone of Interest which fictionalised the Höss family life at their villa at Auschwitz, Volker's film follows two lives and the wall that divided them - Höss' happy childhood in the family villa at Auschwitz and Jewish prisoner Anita Lasker-Wallfisch who was trying to survive the notorious concentration camp. At the heart of this film is the historic and inspiring moment – eight decades later – when the two come face-to-face.
