Reassigned to the rural village of Sandford by his jealous colleagues, top London cop Nicholas Angel struggles with the sleepy pace of life and his incompetent colleagues. But things are not all they seem in Sandford and soon the body count is rising and Angel doesn’t know who he can trust!
Edgar Wright’s (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) eliciously funny tribute to action movies features a superb cast including Jim Broadbent, Timothy Dalton, Olivia Colman and Paddy Considine.
Screening as part of the Criminology Film Season at the University of Leicester, the film will be introduced by an academic with specific expertise in a related area of criminology and after the film there will be a Q&A.
