Alexzandra Jackson (she/her) is a Production Manager and Talent Development Facilitator. She is a 2024 Women in Film & TV Mentoring Awardee and the winner of the Outstanding Woman in Arts, Media, and Music Award (East Midlands) at the 2024 Women’s Awards. She has led projects securing investment from BFI, Innovate UK, Arts Council England, and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
As Platform Strategic Project Lead, Alex has curated the Film Network programme, designed the Platform Business Lab, and works with Phoenix’s Business Development Manager to build the case for increasing infrastructure for film and art in the city, supporting broader industry developments and delivering on funders’ requirements.
She was a BFI NETWORK Talent Executive (2018-2023), where she executive produced 35 short films and developed 19 feature projects. She is currently the Production Manager for Film and Video Umbrella (FVU), a leading commissioner and producer of artist moving image. Previously, Alexzandra led Phoenix’s talent and learning programme and lectured at De Montfort University. With experience spanning development, production, exhibition, and education, she strongly advocates accessibility and equity in film and the arts.
Platform Network Lead and Filmmaker Network Host
Keith Allott (he/him) is an award-winning filmmaker and producer working across narrative fiction, documentary, and experimental film. His work has been showcased at BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals, including Aesthetica, Encounters, London Short Film Festival, and Seattle International Film Festival.
As Platform Network Lead, Keith engages with educational and community leaders, widening access to creative career development opportunities. As Filmmaker Network Host, he creates supportive and open environments for speakers to share their insights and for participants to have their questions answered.
In 2010, he founded Badshoes Film, a production company that collaborates with emerging filmmakers, community organisations, and national commissions across the UK. Through Badshoes, Keith nurtures new talent and develops projects that engage diverse audiences.
An experienced educator, Keith has lectured in film production and theory at De Montfort University and the University of Leicester. He mentors students at all stages of filmmaking, from concept development to final edit, preparing them for further study and professional careers.
Platform Digital Arts Consultant
Ben Fredericks (he/him) is an artist working across interactive theatre, extended reality (VR/AR), installation, and moving image. Rooted in cinematic storytelling and narrative structures, their work engages with complex ethical dilemmas, challenging audiences to interrogate their own perspectives.
As Platform Digital Arts Consultant, Ben advises on the Platform Artists Network and works to integrate the programme into Leicester’s broader art infrastructure.
Ben’s VR project Playing God—an interactive thought experiment placing participants in command of a space station—has been showcased at Cannes XR, Aesthetica, and Frequency Festival, among others. Their immersive theatrical work Choosing Children is designed for an intimate audience, integrating accessibility measures, including British Sign Language (BSL), Audio Description, and Captioning.
As well as an artist, Ben is a consultant developing artistic programmes and access schemes, having recently worked for Phoenix and the Arts Council’s All In Access Scheme. He also runs Vehicle Arts with Paul Guyan and is the Artistic Director for Ben Fredericks Collaborations www.benfredericks.co.uk.
Platform Artists Network Curator and Host
Mateus Domingos (he/him) is an artist, writer, and digital arts producer based in Leicester. As Platform Artists Network Curator and Host, he facilitates critical discussions around digital arts and creative exchange.
His recent work explores the history of the Luddites in the East Midlands and wider practices of technological resistance today. Permacomputing, feminist servers, shadow libraries and counter-cloud actions guide his low-tech practice. His research is based at the Centre for the Study of the Networked Image (CSNI, LSBU). Previously, he was a producer at Phoenix, leading artist development initiatives. He also collaborates with Nathan Bissette (Dead Hand) on sound and broadcasts.

Platform Administration Assistant
Noah Hopley-Jones (he/him) is the Administrative Assistant for Platform, playing a key role in supporting and facilitating events, ensuring they run smoothly and that the necessary participant data is captured to meet Platform’s funding requirements.
Currently training as a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapist, he brings expertise in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and is passionate about integrating these practices into creative spaces. Alongside his work with Platform, he teaches mindfulness and music to children at Woodgate Community Centre.
A graduate of De Montfort University, Noah earned a distinction in Art and Design Foundation, specialising in experimental film. Over the past five years, he has worked in various roles at Phoenix, contributing extensive customer service experience and a commitment to fostering creativity and connection.
