“Honour our roots. Honour our dead” is the motto that guided Omar Rodriguez Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala (founding members of At the Drive In and The Mars Volta) through 30 years of friendship and a boundary-breaking music career.

Compiled of archival footage recorded by Omar himself, this documentary sees the duo facing xenophobia, toxic music environments, and the loss of loved ones; all whilst staying true to their cultures and artistic integrity.

Join us from 6pm for acoustic performances of The Mars Volta songs in our Terrace Room.

Screening as part of CineMisfits, a film festival curated and delivered by DMU students.
