The Last Station
Showing: Fri 5 Mar - Thu 11 Mar
Indisputably an actors piece, this lush imagining of the last year in the life of Russian writer, Leo Tolstoy, focuses on his unhappy marriage to embittered wife Sofya (Helen Mirren in her element) and the old goat’s desire to rekindle the sense that everything I know I know only because I love.
A rich, true, and rewarding drama.
"Beautifully crafted, and sensationally well acted, it overflows with romance, heart and intelligence."
Christopher Tookey, Daily Mail
